"Be the change you want to see in the world."
- Ghandi
Although aware of her psychic gifts from a very young age, Sheila didn't really understand the nature of her abilities
until attending a Spiritualist meeting in Scotland at age 19. Ever since that fateful day in 1982, on her trip to the UK,
Sheila has been studying Spiritualism and Mediumship. Upon her return home, Sheila began her studies in earnest
with Rev. Alma Reeves @ Harmony Chapel in Phoenix, AZ.
(Now known as Rising Phoenix Spiritualist Church)
As her spiritual development progressed, she added classes with the Reverends Sandy & Gene Pfortmiller
and went on to become a founding member of Church of the Living Spirit in Glendale, AZ.
(The Blithesome Spirit angel was drawn by Sheila during one of these classes!)
She also completed several courses of study at the world renowned Arthur Findlay College of Spiritualism in England
and often teams up with her pals in Scotland to do virtual events.
After many years of preparation, Sheila was ordained as a spiritualist minister on January 12, 2020,
by Rev. Bob Copeland @ Sun Spiritualist Camp in Tonopah, AZ.

“In March of 1996, I was at the home of the Reverends Sandy and Gene Pfortmiller for our weekly development circle.
Each week they had the group doing various exercises to help develop our mediumship. On that particular night, 3-27-96, experimenting with spirit art was on the agenda. We all sat around the Pfortmiller's dining table; in the middle were piles of colored drawing chalks, and stacks of different kinds of blank paper. We sat in brief meditation three different times and after each were to draw what came to us or whatever we were inspired to.
Anyone that knows me well knows that I draw like a third grader! My first two drawings looked just like a child had drawn them. Immediately after the third meditation, when I opened my eyes I felt a strong spirit energy overshadowing me. Without any thought at all, I picked up a piece of chalk and just started drawing. The movements were fast and light. With quick strokes, the figure was drawn and then I blended the colors around it with my fingers without really thinking about it. All at once, I was done. I threw the chalk down and the spirit energy left. I think it took maybe 2-3 minutes from start to finish. Once spirit moved away, I took a look at the drawing and nearly fainted! It was an angel! I had kept the drawing tucked away since that night, taking it out only occasionally to look at it until I was spirit inspired in 2015 to call my angel Blithesome Spirit.”
